FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NASHUA, N.H., Jan 24, 2014 — Resonetics, LLC (Nashua, New Hampshire, USA) and Australian Scientific Instruments Pty Ltd (Canberra, Australia) today announced the establishment of an alliance for the future marketing, development, manufacture and support of the RESOlution laser ablation product line.
Brought to market in 2007, the RESOlution laser ablation instruments have proven their capability in a range of mass spectrometry applications, particularly in geochemistry and the wider earth sciences.
In 2013, Australian Scientific Instruments (ASI) and Resonetics introduced the RESOchron, which integrates ASI’s ALPHAchron thermochronology instrument with a RESOlution instrument to demonstrate and offer to market a unique product for dual thermo- and geo-chronology mineral dating.
Building on this product line collaboration, the companies initially have established a marketing alliance whereby ASI will assume responsibility for worldwide marketing and sales of the range of RESOlution instruments. This marketing alliance is the first step towards ASI acquiring the complete RESOlution product line later this year.
The CEO of ASI, Dr Bruce Godfrey, stated “The opportunity to bring the RESOlution product line to ASI is important for the company. We will invest in the future development, local manufacturing and global support of the instrument, to explore current applications and find new frontiers in materials analysis. The RESOlution instrument complements ASI’s existing scientific instruments, and the marketing alliance with Resonetics enables us to establish relations with current and new RESOlution instrument customers.”
Mr Tom Burns, CEO of Resonetics, welcomed the alliance with ASI. “Resonetics’ market focus is laser micromachining, particularly for life sciences manufacturing and other applications requiring precision laser processing. In the scientific instruments market, ASI is a strong partner for the future of the RESOlution laser ablation product line. Through this transition period our customers can continue to rely on Resonetics to receive the high level of technical support and service they’ve come to expect.”
