"Our partnership with Aircraft Medical demonstrates our commitment to deliver clinical value and improve patient outcomes in fast-growing critical-care markets throughout the world," said Covidien’s James Willet in prepared remarks.
Last month, Covidien announced plans to move some of its manufacturing operations from Ireland to Thailand over the next two years, raising concerns that the shift may leave up to 600 without jobs.
The Mansfield, Mass.-based company’s plans to shift one of its manufacturing divisions in Ireland, which produces endo-tracheal tubes, to Thailand over the next two years raised the specter of unemployment among the nation’s press.
