Louise MacDonald is the co-founder and CEO of Sanotec Corp., a company in the consumer healthcare space that makes a consumer device designed to relieve nasal airway obstructions.
The company is positioning its product as an over-the-counter solution to open the nasal airway and deliver medication, according to MacDonald.
“Being a part of IGNITE has really opened my eyes to the medical device world – it’s been a tremendous experience and education for me,” she said. “Being a part of this group, seeing the other entrepreneurs and hearing from the experts that IGNITE has gifted us with has been just terrific.”
“I’ve seen it where great technology companies spend millions of dollars and it just doesn’t go anywhere for any one of many reasons – they can’t break in, the customer doesn’t like it, the patient doesn’t like it, it’s priced incorrectly, you can’t get insurance to cover it, etc. That’s what’s great about this program is that you hear from people that have done it correctly and it’s just a fascinating experience,” MacDonald added.
