Azadeh Khanicheh founded EnVision Endoscopy in 2018 after working for 15 years in the medical device industry. She said the need for novel devices in endoscopic surgeries was apparent, prompting her to create her own company.
For Khanicheh, one of the most important things about the IGNITE program is its focus on the founders.
“I’ve participated in almost every program that exists in our ecosystem and one thing I can say about IGNITE is the importance of the connection in our small group. It’s a very supportive group and it might not look big from the outside, but when you are a founder, it’s very important to get that external support from other founders with the same goals as you,” she explained.
(And on the day that Khanicheh spoke with MassDevice.com, she had a lot to be excited about: She had just won $75,000 from the MassChallenge Boston event!)
