Health startup 1EQ said it raised $1.1 million to develop and market a patient data app for hospitals and clinics.
The Washington D.C.-based company is developing a health information organizing app for patients and providers. The company takes patients’ personal and genomic data and helps doctors construct guidance and information for patients leaving the hospital.
1EG plans on marketing its app initially to concierge doctors, hoping to establish a base price for its product and gain real-world experience with the program, MobiHealthNews reported.
"Patients need to do very specific things when they leave a doctor’s office or surgery," Co-founder and CEO Anish Sebastian told the news service. "This world of connection outside the clinic is crucial and we are just trying to make it super simple and actionable."
