Vention Medical said it raised $2.5 million in an equity round.
The round comes on the heels of Salem, N.H.-based Vention’s acquisition of Fast Forward Medical last week.
Vention, which is owned by KRG Capital Partners, said the funding round came from 5 unnamed investors.
Last week the medical device design & engineering firm acquired Fast Forward Medical and its portfolio of catheter technologies. Vention acquired RiverTech Medical, a medical and electrical tubing maker based in Chattanooga, Tenn., in July. In August 2011, Vention took over NSAmed, an Ireland-based medical tubing company, an acquisition the company used an as opportunity to set up a European base for distribution.
Formerly known as MedTech Holdings Inc., comprising TDC Medical Inc., Advanced Polymers Inc. and The MedTech Group Inc., Vention rebranded in February 2011.
