Diabetes: Tandem plans $60m offering

Tandem Diabetes Care said that it’s planning a $60 million public offering for its line of insulin pumps.
The San Diego, Calif.-based maker of the t:slim touch-screen insulin pump and its successors said it will sell 5.25 million shares at $11.50 apiece, for gross proceeds of just more than $60 million. Tandem said it expects to net $56.3 million after underwriting discounts, commissions and other offering expenses are factored in. Read more
OrthoSensor pulls in $17m funding round

OrthoSensor said it pulled in a funding round worth nearly $17 million that it hopes will eventually add up to $19 million.
The Florida maker of knee implant placement technology disclosed the round in a recent regulatory filing. Read more
EndoChoice raises $57m for Fuse endoscope

EndoChoice said it raised $57 million for its Fuse full-spectrum endoscope from a group that included prior backers and new investors.
The new investors included Ally Bridge Group, Rock Springs Capital and Deerfield, which placed partner Steven Hochberg on the EndoChoice board “as an observer,” according to a press release. Previous investors joining the round included Sequoia Capital, EndoChoice said. Read more
InspireMD looks to raise $14m for CGuard stent launch

InspireMD said it plans to gross $13.8 million from a public offering of stock and warrants, with the proceeds earmarked for the launch of its CGuard stent and other items.
The Boston-based company said it will sell 34.5 million shares at 40¢ apiece, plus 5-year warrants to grab another 34.5 million shares at a 55¢ strike price. Read more
