Premier healthcare alliance awards new radiation treatment system contract to member hospital

Hospital group purchasing organization Premier healthcare alliance agreed on a contract for a new radiation treatment planning system.
Group purchasing organization Premier inked a contract with Philips Healthcare (NYSE:PHG) for radiation treatment planning.
The new team-based radiation treatment program was available to the Philips Healthcare network on Jan. 1, but Premier made the announcement this month. This system is limited to acute care and continuum care members of Premier.
In November 2012, Premier signed contracts with Teleflex for endotracheal surgical products and awarded 2 contracts for pediatric specialty products to of York, Pa.-based Clinton Industries and Pedia Pals of Minneapolis.
