Fresenius (NYSE:FMS) and NxStage Medical (NSDQ:NXTM) said they extended a supply deal for NxStage’s System One hemodialysis device until 2016.
The agreement calls for Waltham, Mass.-based Fresenius, which provides kidney dialysis services and renal care products, to buy Lawrence, Mass.-based NxStage’s System One and related supplies for home hemodialysis therapy in the U.S.
The companies have been in business since 2009, according to a regulatory filing.
NxStage recently renewed another supply deal, with Gambro Renal, after the companies agreed to bury the hatchet on a legal dispute.
