The U.S. Defense Dept. extended a deal with Medtronic (NYSE:MDT) for another year, the agency said yesterday.
The contract extension, worth $58 million for the Fridley, Minn.-based medical device company, is for radiology systems, subsystems, and components for the Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and federal civilian agencies, the DoD said.
The extension, slated to end Oct. 25, 2014, is the 1st of a possible 6 extensions written into the original 1-year deal.
