The Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council (MassMEDIC) inked a deal with the Golden Triangle Partnership, a British trade council, to cross-promote the medical device industries in each group's cluster.
MassMEDIC is making inroads across the pond.
The Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council and one of its British counterparts, the Golden Triangle Partnership, inked a cross-promotion deal aimed at boosting the medical device industry's profile in their respective clusters.
The deal is designed to "facilitate transatlantic investment and partnering by encouraging collaborations between each groups' member companies," according to a press release. "GTP and MassMEDIC will promote each other's investment and partnering events to their respective members, as well as offer their members significantly reduced rates to each other's signature events."
Golden Triangle is a joint collaboration between the three primary life sciences and healthcare networking organizations in Oxford, London and Cambridge, England. It also has similar deals going with the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council and San Diego's BIOCOM.
"This is a significant partnership that brings together the trade groups for two of the world's largest life sciences clusters," MassMEDIC CEO Tom Sommer said. "The U.K. is a recognized leader in medical devices, and we are excited to offer our members opportunities to develop and partnerships with many of the leading U.K.'s medtech companies."
