3. Becton Dickinson picks up Intelliport partner Crisi
Becton Dickinson & Co. said that it snatched up the California company that co-developed its newly FDA-cleared Intelliport medication management system.
Terms of the acquisition of San Diego-based Crisi Medical Systems were not disclosed, but BD said the deal won’t impact its previously-disclosed fiscal 2015 earnings guidance. Read more

Boston Scientific said that it named a pair of big-name medical device executives to its board of directors.

1. Intuitive Surgical wins $430m Defense Dept. deal
Intuitive Surgical won a contract worth as much as $430 million from the U.S. Defense Dept. for its flagship da Vinci robot-assisted surgery device.
The 5-year contract covers the da Vinci device plus instruments, accessories and upgrades, according to the Pentagon. Intuitive won out over 34 other bidders, according to the Defense Dept. Read more
