MASSDEVICE ON CALL — Masimo (NSDQ:MASI) enlisted the help of Stig Åvall Severinsen, who holds the world record for holding his breath for 22 minutes underwater, to demonstrate how the company’s new iSpO2 iPhone- and iPad-friendly pulse oximeter measures blood oxygenation, pulse rate and a perfusion index using a finger sensor and a cable that connects to their mobile devices.
"I think it’s interesting for sports people and also for common people to be able to track what’s going on inside your body, but from a non-invasive device. I think that’s cool," Severinsen said in the Medgadget video, taken at the international CES conference this week.
