LifeImage Inc. added three individuals to new leadership positions within the company.

The Newton, Mass.-based medical image e-sharing developer brought in John Esposito, John Ciancarelli and David Wilkins, all of whom have several years' experience in the healthcare IT industry.

Two of the new hires, vice president of sales Esposito and director of product management Wilkins, came directly from healthcare IT company Amicas Inc. (NSDQ:AMCS), where senior VP of product management and LifeImage co-founder Amy Vreeland was previously a VP.

VP of information technology Ciancarelli arrived from human resources software developer Softscape, but also worked at Amicas as director of IT durring its start-up days.

"The demand for LifeImage services is creating an immediate need to scale our technology, product and business development efforts,” said CEO and co-founder Hamid Tabatabaie in a prepared statement.

Though LifeImage does not release data on its sales, the company recently touted the implementation of its software in well ranked medical centers around the United States.
