Hospital group purchasing organizations Novation and Premier healthcare alliance ink new deal for BodyFit technology devices, intraoperative neurophysical monitoring services and surgical instruments.
Group purchasing organization Novation awarded a contract to Coloplast for its BodyFit technology, including SenSura product line and SenSura Mio.
The SenSura Mio is a single- piece appliance with an elastic adhesive, featuring Coloplast's core BodyFit technology to fit body shapes, and the SenSura is a double-layer ostomy bags, according Coloplast.
"Our mission is to make life easier for people with very personal and private medical conditions. We know that our products make a real and important difference in people's lives. Starting today, more Americans will have access to the most innovative technologies in Ostomy Care," Coloplast president of Chronic Care Claus Bjerre said in prepared remarks.
The 3-year contract, which takes effect at the beginning of this year, offers the Coloplast technology to more than 2,500 additional hospitals and their patients, according to the press release.
