FDA clears Medical Modeling's Virtual Surgical Planning system

Medical Modeling lands FDA clearance for its Virtual Surgical Planning technology, allowing surgeons to develop surgical procedures in a virtual environment.
Golden, Colo.-based Medical Modeling won FDA clearance for its Virtual Surgical Planning technology, which is now fully available in the U.S. and Canada.
The device allows physicians to plan maxillofacial surgical procedures in a virtual environment, then transferring the plan to the patients, according to the company.
