Teleflex (NYSE:TFX) won FDA 510(k) clearance for the latest in its line of Arrow devices, the FlexBlock continuous peripheral nerve block catheter.
The Arrow FlexBlock works with ultrasound imaging to place the catheter, with novel ultrasound visibility, flexibility and upgraded kink resistance, according to a press release.
The Limerick, Pa.-based device maker has made strides in expanding its catheter OEM business after it sold off its OEM orthopedics business for $42.5 million to Tecomet, a medical device engineering shop based in Wilmington, Mass.
Earlier this month Teleflex expanded its catheter manufacturing plant in Jaffrey, N.H., planning to add another 25 employees. The moves were driven by increased demand for the products, according to the company.
