Dialysis-device maker Cantel Medical picks up Siemens' hemodialysis water purification business for an undisclosed amount.

Cantel Medical (NYSE:CMN) said its Mar Cor subsidiary bought Siemens' (NYSE:SI) hemodialysis water purification unit for an undisclosed amount, part of its campaign to acquire water purification and infection control businesses across North America.

The Little Falls, N.J.-based medical device company has been snapping up such businesses lately, including ConFirm Monitoring Systems' sterilization unit (2011), and a total buyout of Byrne Medical (2011) and GEM Water Systems (2009).
