NxStage Medical (NSDQ:NXTM) appointed a new CFO, moved its former CFO over to its Kidney Care subsidiary and created a new position in the C-suite, moves that CEO & founder Jeffrey Burbank called a "positive move that expands and strengthens our management team."
NxStage pulled new CFO Matthew Towse from his former gig as interim CFO at Tatum, LLC. Towse has also worked as VP and CFO of global design and engineering company Vette Corp. and at Fairchild Semiconductor International, according to an NxStage statement.
The Lawrence, Mass.-based dialysis maker also shifted former CFO Robert Brown over to subsidiary NxStage Kidney Care, where Brown will work as president and oversee the company’s Centers for Excellence initiative.
"As our new CFO, Matt’s leadership will be important as we execute against our strategic growth initiatives," Burbank said in prepared remarks.
In addition, current finance VP Kevin Hershberger will step into the newly created position of VP, Chief Accounting Officer & Controller. Hershberger has worked as finance VP for NxStage since 2008.
In MassDevice.com’s most recent, episode of Disruptors, Burbank discusses big competitors in the market and how his company is revolutionizing dialysis.
