BG Medicine taps new SMO

Waltham diagnostics maker names Peter Gardiner as VP of medical affairs and senior medical officer.
BG Medicine Inc. tapped a new senior medical officer, naming Dr. Peter Gardiner as VP of medical affairs and SMO.
Gardiner was most recently SMO for Bristol-Myers Squibb’s medical imaging division and VP of medical affairs for DuPont’s medical imaging division.
The Waltham-based diagnostic equipment maker said Gardiner will lead its R&D efforts and coordinate its clinical publications and presentations.
