C.R. Bard Inc.’s (NYSE:BCR) senior VP and chief financial officer Todd Schermerhorn announced his retirement after 26 years with the company.
Schermerhorn will continue to serve as CFO until the Murray Hill, N.J.-based company finds a replacement, which may take until August 2012.
Schermerhorn rose through the ranks at Bard, which is 29th on the MassDevice Big 100 list of the world’s largest medical device companies, starting as a financial analyst in 1985 and becoming senior VP & CEO in April 2003, according to a release.

Ventana Medical Systems Inc. announced that Mara Aspinall was appointed president for the Tucson, Ariz.-based company. Aspinall was recently president & CEO of On-Q-ity, a start-up diagnostics company she co-founded, where she continues as a director.

Toshiba Medical Systems Corp. announced yesterday that Scott Goodwin had been named VP of sales, where he will oversee CT, MR, X-ray/vascular and ultrasound sales, customer training and applications. Goodwin joins the Tustin, Calif.-based diagnostic imaging company with a resume that includes Philips Healthcare and Siemens Medical Solutions.
