Medtronic vet Montcalvo joins West Pharmaceutical Services
West Pharmaceutical Services (NYSE:WST) said last week that it appointed David Montecalvo as senior VP of global operations and supply chain.
Montecalvo will serve as a part of the senior leadership team and oversee its global operations function, the Exton, Penn.-based company said.
A Medtronic (NYSE:MDT) vet, Montecalvo served as VP of contract manufacturing operations for Medtronic’s restorative therapies group and VP of business operations integration, overseeing Covidien’s integration with Medtronic. Montecalvo has also held senior operations and product development roles at Urologix (OCT:ULGX) and Lectec Corporation.
“David Montecalvo brings a wealth of expertise in global operations, business integration and product development,” president & CEO Eric Green said in prepared remarks. “As we continue to make significant progress in achieving the operational excellence objectives outlined in our long-term business strategy, including our margin expansion targets, we intend to leverage David’s experience to continue this progress.
