NIH expands Type II Diabetes Knowledge Portal
The National Institute of Health recently announced it expanded the data and capabilities of the AMP Type 2 Diabetes Knowledge Portal designed for exploring international networks of human genetic information linked to Type II diabetes.
The portal now includes customizable and simplified navigation, as well as more than 100,000 DNA samples from NIH-supported and other research, the group said.
Anyone can now access the portal’s content, according to the NIH, which was previously limited to approved researchers. A Google (NSDQ:GOOG) android device is required to use the portal, which is available in both English and Spanish, and the group said it is encouraging people to submit data, contents and other materials.
